Memorial Day Parade
The annual East Lyme Memorial Day Parade provides an opportunity for patriotic Americans to come together and honor those who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.
The parade will be held on Monday, May 27th beginning at 2:00 p.m., will begin near St. John's Green (across from the Children's Museum of Southeastern CT.), and will proceed down Niantic's Main St. ending at the East Lyme Town Hall.
The parade celebrates all those who have served in uniform from the American Revolution to Operation Iraqi Freedom, and will reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.- June 16, 2013

Summer Tennis Programs for Kids at Lyme Shores
This summer, treat your kids to tennis! Lyme Shores offers two summer tennis programs for kids starting June 24, 2013.
The University of Tennis Junior Program runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm (full day) or 9am - 12pm (half day). Each day, kids participate in drills that improve their tennis strokes, develop good footwork, and teach smart game play strategy. Lunch and swimming is included for full day students.
Lyme Shores also offers a High Performance Tennis Program for advanced high school and nationally-ranked USTA players. This program runs Monday - Friday from 12:30pm - 4pm.

35th Annual LobsterFest and
53rd Annual Juried Arts & Craft ShowCome support the Niantic Lions Club as they once again sponsor their Annual LobsterFest and Chicken BBQ. Lobsterfest 2013 will be held on July 6th (Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm) and July 6th (Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm). Located on the East Lyme Town Hall grounds (Pennsylvania Ave.), this annual Niantic summer tradition is sure to kick start your summer.
In addition to the above Niantic Lions LobsterFest and Chicken BBQ, the 53rd Annual Juried Arts and Craft Show will also be held at the same location, on the same dates and same times. Admission to the Arts & Crafts show is free, and over 180 vendors are expected to be at the show.

Black Point House & Garden Tour
The Black Point Women's Club is holding a House & Garden Tour
on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 10:00 am. to 3:00 pm. Over ten homes located within the Black Point Beach Club Association, Niantic are featured. Celebrate East Lyme 2013
The 13th Annual Celebrate East Lyme Festival will be held
on Saturday, July 20, 2013.
The Town of East Lyme will once again transform it's waterfront Main Street in the seaside village of Niantic into their annual Bash by the Bay !
Niantic's Main St. will close to vehicular traffic (beginning at 3:00 p.m.) which will then be filled by over 200 local vendors offering food, fun and entertainment for everyone! Festivities will include live music and performances, cooking demonstrations & tastings, an Art & Author walk, children's area and so much more!
Additionally, the East Lyme Parks & Recreation Department will again host a Sand Castle competition and the always popular Great Niantic Bay Raft Races. And last, but not least, the day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show over the beautiful Niantic Bay.
Again, the fun takes place on Saturday, July 20th in downtown Niantic.

4th Annual Leukemia Cup ~ Poker Run
Come join the fun when three local Niantic marina's (Boats Incorporated, Harbor Hill Marina and Port Niantic) host the 4th Annual Leukemia Cup Poker Run. This event will be held on Saturday, July 27th here in Niantic's Marina District. Not only has this event raised nearly $65,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the past three years, but has also provided a great day of fun for local boaters and boating enthusiast.

Niantic Bay Triathlon
East Lyme will once again serve as host site for the 2013 Niantic Bay Triathlon. The triathlon will be held on Sunday, August 4th beginning at 07:30 a.m. and features a 1/2 mile swim, 12-mile bike, and a 3.5 mile run through scenic East Lyme with water views and shaded streets. The Niantic Bay Triathlon is a flat, sprint distance race. Come support the athletes, shop for that special gift and dine at one of our many great shoreline restaurants in town.

Niantic Village Halloween Parade
Come one, come all, to one of the most highly entertaining events in town ~ the annual Niantic Halloween Parade.
Sponsored by the East Lyme Business Organization and the East Lyme Parks & Rec. Dept., the parade will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m., when children are welcome to browse the downtown shops for "Tricks and Treats".
Among the parade's signature features is the always popular Halloween Parade which will begin at 2:00 p.m. (starting at Hole-in-the-Wall)
Candy for the kids and costume prizes to be awarded.

Veterans Day Vigil / Observation
Come honor and remember our veterans at a Veterans Day Vigil/Observance on Monday, November 11, 2013. Festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the Liberty Green (downtown Niantic - corner of Main St. and Pennsylvania Ave.). In the event of rain, the vigil will move to the American Legion facility on York Ave.

6th Annual Spirits of Sharing ~ Wine Tasting Event
(to benefit Care & Share of East Lyme)Come join the fun on Saturday November 23, 2013 when Mermaid Liquors & Smith's Acres will once again be hosting their Annual Spirits of Sharing ~ Wine Tasting Event to benefit local Care & Share. As in years past, the event will feature several Wine & Beer distributors providing samples/tastings from around the world, and heavy appetizers will be provided by various local restaurants from throughout East Lyme.
Tickets are $40 each, go on sale October 15th, and can be purchased at either Smith's Acres or Mermaid Liquors. The Wine Tasting event will be held in the greenhouse at Smith's Acres 4 West Main Street, Niantic from 7 to 9 pm. In addition to great wine & tons of food, fabulous door prizes will also be awarded. 25th Annual Niantic Light Parade & Winterfest 2013
If doing something for 25 years suggest you're doing something right, then mark your calendars now for the grand daddy of all holiday parades in Southeastern CT.
The 25th Annual Niantic Light Parade & Winterfest 2013 will take place on Sunday, December 8th and promises to be the biggest and best ever. Two great events, one awesome holiday tradition. The day starts with the 2013 Winterfest (which will take place from 12:00 - 5:00). This prelude to the parade will feature the popular Chowder & Chili Cook-off, Pictures with Santa, Magic Shows, a Scavenger Hunt, Face Painting, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Ice Sculptures and much, much more!
Then, beginning at 5:00 pm, come see the beautifully built and lighted parade floats, dance groups and Santa himself as they parade down beautiful Main St. in Niantic.
Fireworks will kick-off the Light Parade Fireworks at 5:00 pm. So come early, shop for holiday gifts in the unique gift shops throughout town or dine at one of the many East Lyme restaurants. It's a day your entire family and friends will enjoy - guaranteed!
